This Morning’s Christmas show is set to be quite the magical affair.

The ITV show will start tomorrow as a non-festive looking studio is suddenly transformed by one click of Father Christmas’ fingers, and another click will make hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby appear.

Once the specially recorded show officially starts excited hosts Holly and Phil find themselves surrounded by a rather large collection of Christmas Day beverages including a mix of Bucks Fizz and Negroni drinks.

The pair wish the nation a ‘Merry Christmas’ before Holly says, “Has he been?… It’s the most wonderful time of the year and we’re delighted to be spending it with you!”

To which Phillip adds: “Whether you are busy opening your presents right now, or you’re tucking into chocolate or having a well deserved lie in.

The This Morning Christmas special is sure to have viewers in giggles

“And whether you’re with family or friends or on your own this year, we’re here throughout the morning.”

The pair are set to deal with an awkward moment when Aled Jones appears thinking that he was booked to open the show.

When asked what he was doing here, Aled says: “I’ve come to get the Christmas show on the road.

ITV is airing a very special festive special of This Morning this year

“It’s taken loads of rehearsal but I’m ready to bring – wait for it – Walking In the Air back especially for you two.”

Before the track could fully kick in Phillip can be heard telling the singer that the show actually booked Leona Lewis.

“Um, Aled, I’m sorry, there’s a possibility we might have to stop there for a second,” Phil says.

“I’m sorry, but we’ve actually booked Leona Lewis! Someone should’ve told you.”

Joel Dommet will make an appearance during the ITV broadcast

As well as two outdoor performances by Leona Lewis, viewers will also be kept entertained by show favourite Gyles Brandreth delivering his best Christmas cracker jokes.

Resident chef Gino D’Acampo will also serve up a festive feast with a twist whilst wearing a questionable jumper.

Phillip and Holly will then give the chance for some families living in Australia the opportunity to send their wishes back home to loved ones in the UK in an incredibly emotional segment.

This Morning fans will be able to spend Christmas Day with their favourite presenters on Saturday

The first sofa guest will see Joel Dommett discuss the third series of The Masked Singer, while other guests include former child star Mara Wilson and Frozen musical star Samantha Barks.

Elsewhere, Josie Gibson is on hand to deliver some alternative Christmas games with Phil, Holly and Gino all taking part – including one where the foursome are seen squatting over a bottle to see who could get a pen inside.

Watch This Morning’s Christmas Day show tomorrow (Saturday 25th December 2021) from 10am on ITV and ITV Hub.
