Jade Thirlwall will be hoping to succeed where Jesy Nelson spectacularly failed – by releasing a smash hit solo single now that Little Mix have split.
The 29-year-old singer has collaborated with top music DJ, Jax Jones – who hopes they can soar to the top of the charts together.
Jade is tipped to be embarking on an ambitious solo project after it was announced Little Mix will go on hiatus next year after they complete their Confetti tour of the UK and Ireland.
It has already been revealed that Jade has signed up to a top management team and is said to be eyeing a solo music contract with a top record label as she plots her next move away from her Little Mix co-stars.

And now Jax Jones – real name Timucin Lam, 34 – has teased a collaboration with him could be the first project out the gate for Jade, telling The Sun: “I was in the studio with Jade and she is mega-cool and super-talented. She is also such fun to be around.
“We wrote something really cool so hopefully that can come out too.”
A source backed up Jax’s claims, telling the publication: “Jade’s been working super-hard on the new music and those who have heard the tracks say they sound amazing.
“Jade has already met with Sony to talk things through but has really been impressed by Atlantic, and all signs point to her going with them. She has held top-secret talks with them and it’s all really positive.”
Last month reports emerged to suggest Jade had signed with the same management company as Grammy award winning singer Lizzo.
An industry source said at the time: “Jade had a series of meetings with Full Stop Management earlier this year and she’s now signed on the dotted line.
“They think she is going to be a huge star, just like Harry has become after One Direction went on hiatus.
“Jade has bags of ideas for her solo music and she’s already recorded some amazing songs that have impressed industry bosses.
“As well as music she is putting plans into motion for more TV appearances and there is no doubt she can become a mega-star in her own right.”
As well as Lizzo, Full Stop Management also work with Kings of Leon’s Caleb Followill, British pop babe Charli XCX and Aussie pop prince Troye Sivan.
While Jade is aiming for the heavens with her solo career efforts, fellow ex-Little Mix star Jesy Nelson has endured something of a chart hell.
Her hotly anticipated debut solo single Boyz, featuring rap superstar Nicki Minaj, flopped – and the British singer found herself engulfed in a ‘blackfishing’ race row that derailed her solo career before it even began.
Jesy, 30, denied she had appropriate black culture while making the video for her single, telling Vulture back in October: “I’m very aware that I’m a white British woman; I’ve never said that I wasn’t.
“But I mean, like, I love Black culture. I love Black music. That’s all I know; it’s what I grew up on.”
