Britney Spears’ fiancé Sam Asghari was hoping to bag a role in the Sex and the City reboot – but he failed to wow casting agents.
The trainer and actor – who met Britney when playing her love interest in her 2016 music video for hit Slumber Party – was excited to get the call from his agent that he could have the opportunity to work alongside Sarah Jessica Parker in And Just Like That, but his happiness was shortlived as he was not successful in getting the TV role.
Sam, 27, shared the behind the scenes information via his Instagram Stories and hinted that he was not bitter at losing out to the man who was handed the role he read for.
The handsome performer shared that he was up for the part of Travis – the physical therapist that helped Sarah Jessica Parker’s character, Carrie Bradshaw, following hip surgery.
Alongside a selfie, he penned: “Man, I was looking forward to this role for the reboot of Sex and the City , And Just Like That. ”
In a second post, he added: “Shout out to the dude that got it! It was a dope role.”
Sam runs his own business named Asghari Fitness and has also worked as a model and has credits on TV shows and adverts.
In September this year, Sam proposed to Britney.
