Nicki Minaj took to social media on Wednesday to post a tribute for her ex manager Angela Kukawski after the business manager was found dead in her car.
The Anaconda singer, 39, posted the heartfelt words to her Instagram Stories following the news.
She wrote: “Hardest working, most reliable, sweetest person you could ever know. You didn’t deserve this, Angela. My heart is breaking for your children. Rest in peace.”
It comes after Angela’s cause of death was reportedly homicide following an incident in California on December 22, according to Variety.
The 55-year-old mother-of-five worked at Boulevard Management in Woodland Hills and her body was reportedly discovered in the boot of a car parked in Simi Valley, just north of Los Angeles.
The Hollywood Reporter reports that the Simi Valley Police Department and the LAPD arrested her boyfriend, Jason Baker, and charged him with murder following Angela’s body being recovered.
His bond is said to have been set at $2 million.
The outlet says that cops believe the 49-year-old killed Angela at her Sherman Oakes home and say that law enforcement suspect he then moved her body to the car and drove her to Simi Valley during the very early morning hours of December 23.
Nicki was one of several high-profile clients Angela had worked with. She also worked with the Kardashian family, Kanye West and late rapper Tupac Shakur’s estate.
In a statement to TMZ, the Kardashian-Jenner family said: “Angela was truly the best. She cared about everyone of us and made things happen that were impossible.
“She will be greatly missed and we send our sincere condolences to her family and loved ones during this most difficult time.”
According to the website of Boulevard Management, the company specialises in “financial management services to entertainers, athletes, and high-net worth individuals”.
They state that Angela and her colleagues would help with financial planning and real estate purchases.
The site reads: “Our services include bill paying and banking, financial planning, estate and retirement planning, tax preparation and tax planning, among others.
“We will also assist in major purchases, such as real estate and automobiles, ensuring that you get the best price possible.”
Todd Bozick, a member of the company told Variety: “We are saddened and heartbroken by the loss of our colleague, Angie Kukawski. Angie was a kind, wonderful person, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
“Our deepest condolences go out to all of Angie’s family and friends.”
