Arsenal’s players and a former icon have been left fuming after the Premier League loss to Man City on New Year’s Day.
The Gunners fell to a heartbreaking 2-1 loss as City midfielder Rodri stabbed home from close range at the death.
Arsenal had taken the lead in the first half when Bukayo Saka swept home a Kieran Tierney pass after 31 minutes.
But the game was flipped on its head within a two-minute spell in the second half that saw the Gunners concede a penalty, which was converted by Riyad Mahrez, before Gabriel Martinelli missed a gilt-edged opportunity seconds ahead of centre-back Gabriel being sent off.
The Brazilian had been shown a yellow card for scuffing the spot before the penalty and was then booked again moments later for holding back compatriot Gabriel Jesus.
And the Arsenal contingent have not been left happy following the result.

Fabregas slams “terrible decision”
Arsenal favourite Cesc Fabregas has slammed one of the Arsenal vs Man City flashpoints as a “terrible decision”.
The Gunners were denied a first-half penalty when Ederson appeared to take Martin Odegaard down in the box.
And the decision once again went in City’s favour when Granit Xhaka was adjudged to have fouled Bernardo Silva in the box as the away side were awarded a spot-kick by referee Stuart Attwell following VAR’s intervention.
A former Gunners favourite, Fabregas was left stunned, and shared just how unhappy he was about the situation.

Ramsdale fumes at VAR
Gunners goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has hit out at the inconsistency in VAR after the loss to City.
Referee Stuart Attwell was told to use the pitchside monitor to review Granit Xhaka’s foul on Bernardo Silva, but not Ederson’s tackle on Martin Odegaard.
Arsenal fans were left up in arms following both decisions, and it appears Ramsdale was raging just as much as he shared his fury after the final whistle.
And the Arsenal goalkeeper did not hold back as he made his feelings about the situation perfectly clear.

Gabriel reacts to red card
Arsenal centre-back Gabriel has vowed to “keep improving” following his red card on Sunday.
The Gunners had impressed for large spells during the game, with City boss Pep Guardiola admiting the Gunners had been the better side.
But Gabriel was booked twice in just as many minutes with his dismissal handing the momentum to Arsenal’s opponents who went on to claim a late winner.
And Gabriel has broken his silence following the dismisal, which he says is “hard to accept”.
