Vicky Pattison has revealed she “hated” herself after winning I’m A Celebrity and she would down ten drinks a day.
The former Geordie Shore star, 34, said she didn’t like the person she was becoming as she turned to booze after being crowned Queen of the Jungle.
Vicky admitted she is determined not to go down the same path as her dad John, 62, who had been battling with alcohol problems for years.
“I can have a couple of glasses of wine and be the life and soul of the party but if I fall over there is no off switch,” she told The Sun.
“I want more out of life than what my dad has had; a happy marriage, a good relationship with my kids, I want to be successful.
“I hated myself back then. I work very hard to not become that person.”
The TV star has changed her life around since leaving Geordie Shore – and she is happier than ever.
In recent days, she took to her Instagram page to share a series of sweet snaps to mark her three year anniversary with boyfriend Ercan Ramadan.
Vicky posted the photos with her boyfriend Ercan which included a selection of highlights of their time together.
Vicky started the post with the first picture ever taken of them on their first date three years ago.
She then went on to also post pics of them at various events, one with their dog Milo that they got this year, some funny snaps, and one of them outside their new home together.
Vicky wrote a sweet caption alongside where she talked about her relationship with Ercan as well as mentioning that they’re both ill, which they also were this time last year.
She hoped they’d be feeling better by New Year’s Eve.
The star wrote: “This will never not be my favourite picture of us… Happy anniversary @ercan_ram, 3 years since our first date, since this picture was taken and since I fell in love with you…
“Second year in a row we’re spending it ill in bed like (see last slide) so instead of a glamorous picture of us all dolled up and having a generally lovely time- here’s some of my favourites from this year… and my all time favourite”
Vicky went on to mention how proud of the pair she was, saying they’ve managed to achieve multiple things in the last year despite the pandemic.
She added: “I’m so proud of everything we’ve achieved together this year- our home, baby milo, our charity work… and all the fun we have too. There’s no one else I’d rather share this journey with…
“Happy anniversary babe- I hope we’re better for NYE to celebrate properly.”
