The most sustainable packaging meets at the Hispack fair | Business

Six hundred exhibitors from 19 countries and around 1,100 commercial brands represented at an event that is expected to bring together more than 25,000 attendees. These are the figures from Hispack, the Spanish container and packaging fair that is held between May 24 and 27 in pavilions 2 and 3 of the Fira de Barcelona site.

Sustainability and automation are going to be the two main priorities of this year’s edition. The fair thus comes out in step with the development of new legislative frameworks that affect the composition and manufacturing processes of packaging, as well as a growing environmental awareness in society as a whole. A substantial part of the 60 planned activities, in which more than 200 speakers will participate, will focus on packaging sustainable, with a special emphasis on its life cycle and its connections with the supply chain.
