You have to make an appointment, collect papers. With how simple it would be to have good help… Many times, it is the doubts themselves that invite us to delay the delicate moment. What will it deduct? Will there be something new? And the truth is that there is always something new.
The reforms to improve the energy efficiency of the home, the purchase of school supplies or the arrival of a new member to the family are some of the 220 existing tax deductions in this income campaign. Many times they are not included in the declaration or it is done incorrectly. For convenience or ignorance, many people do not know how to proceed in these cases. According to the Financial Competencies Survey (ECF), carried out by the Bank of Spain and the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV), the average mark of Spaniards in financial knowledge is six out of ten.

Using the simplest possible language, we obtain the most relevant information for our clients. Many times they do not share this data because they do not know that it is important.
This entire process is completely individualized. “Our value lies in understanding the situation of each client,” reveals Arianoff. In addition to accompanying people in the preparation of the declaration, “Taxfix allows them to become owners of their finances, to learn from the process so that, in the future, they can manage them in a different way,” says the manager. Once this interpellative flow is complete, and as a previous step for Taxfix’s tax experts to receive and evaluate the information, it is time to pay. In total, 39.99 euros per declaration.

One billion euros in tax refunds
Taxfix was founded in 2016 in Germany by Mathis Büchi and Lino Teuteberg. The goal was to help people manage their finances. The first action towards this goal was to develop an application to make the income statement. “They saw that they could make people’s lives easier by changing the relationship model. Instead of the person having to deal with standard forms, they opted to manage a conversation with the client to get to know them a little better”, explains Arianoff.
Currently Taxfix is the most demanded taxation mobile application in Germany, where it accumulates millions of downloads. “It has recently reached the milestone of one billion euros in tax refunds for its customers,” says the general manager in Spain.
In 2021, when Martin Ott took over as CEO of Taxfix, the company started operations in France and Italy. It currently has more than 400 employees, including tax specialists, developers and computer security experts, who work in Berlin and Madrid to continue developing the portfolio of services and products. In Spain, the team is made up of about 30 people. “Our corporate culture is based on communication and feedback of the users. We analyze what has worked in other countries and put it into practice, adapting it to the needs of each new market”, explains Arianoff.
