It was learned that one of the miners, who was treated in the intensive care unit at Başakşehir Çam and Sakura City Hospital, was taken to the normal service.
According to the news of DHA, Başakşehir Çam and Sakura City Hospital Burn Treatment Center and Emergency Surgery Specialist Prof. Dr. Mustafa Turan said, “One of our patients was better than the others, but he also needed hyperbaric oxygen therapy because he was exposed to toxic gases. He also underwent intensive treatments and we are now out of the intensive care unit in good condition.”
Six people injured in the mining accident in Bartın were brought to Istanbul by ambulance plane and were treated in the intensive care unit. It was learned that one of the miners, İbrahim Çeliktaş, was taken out of intensive care. It was stated that a patient receiving treatment depending on the respirator will be separated from the ventilator. The burn center, where injured miners were treated, and the hyperbaric unit, where İbrahim Çeliktaş received oxygen therapy, were also viewed. It was learned that depending on the situation, the injured may also need stem cell transplantation.

Başakşehir Çam and Sakura City Hospital Burn Treatment Center and Emergency Surgery Specialist Prof. Dr. Mustafa Turan said, “Six patients were brought to our hospital from Bartın on Friday evening. 5 of these patients had severe injuries. We had to connect those 5 patients to a breathing machine. One of our patients was better than the others, but he also needed hyperbaric oxygen therapy because he was exposed to toxic gases. He also received intensive treatments and we are now out of the intensive care unit in good condition. The process of weaning one of our patients, who are connected to the breathing machine, has been started, his condition is getting better. All intensive care procedures are being carried out intensively for the remaining patients. There is a council with the participation of department heads,” he said.

Başakşehir Çam and Sakura City Hospital Hyperbaric Medicine Unit Specialist Doctor Zeynep Canaz said, “Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is a treatment that we apply by breathing 100 percent oxygen under high pressure in a cabin we call a pressure chamber.”
