Heavy rain in Siirt affected life negatively

While the downpour in Siirt in the evening negatively affected daily life, floods and landslides occurred and the roads were filled with water. In the statement made by the Governor’s Office, “After heavy and effective rain, a total of 62 flood notifications were received, including 1 landslide notification in Tillo district and 1 flood notification in Şirvan district, to the 112 Emergency Call Center in our province. It was understood that there was no loss of life,” the statement said.

The downpour, which was effective in Siirt and its districts in the evening, negatively affected daily life. While the streets and streets in the city center were filled with water, some vehicles were stuck on the road. Some homes and businesses were flooded. A landslide occurred on the road to the Alkumru Dam, which is located within the borders of Tillo district. Firefighters, UMKE, AFAD and Special Provincial Administration teams were dispatched to the area where the landslide took place and to the places where the flood occurred. The rescue of the women and children stranded on the road by the municipal bus driver by pulling the vehicle aside was recorded with a mobile phone camera.
