Hülya Şevvalcı, mother of 2 children, was killed with a gun at work in İzmir, her husband is wanted

The body of Hülya Şellavcı Y. (52), who was the mother of two children, was found in a workplace in the Bornova district of İzmir, where she had been shot in the head with a pistol. The police are looking for Kaffar Y. (59), who is in the process of divorce, whom Hülya Şellavcı Y. married 6 months ago as a murder suspect.

The incident took place at Işıkkent Ayakkabıcılar Sitesi at around 00:30. Relatives, who could not reach Hülya Şellavcı Y., the owner of the shoe embroidery workshop, went to her workplace. When her relatives found Hülya Şellavcı Y. immobile in blood, she informed the 112 Emergency Call Center. Police and paramedics were dispatched to the scene upon notification. During the control of the medical team, it was determined that Hülya Şellavcı Y. was shot in the head with a gun. Hülya Şellavcı Y.’s body was taken to the morgue of İzmir Forensic Medicine Institute for autopsy after the examination at the scene.

It was reported that the police teams were looking for Hülya Şellavcı Y.’s wife, Kaffar Y., as a murder suspect.

EXTENDED DECISION HAS BEEN MADE

It was learned that Hülya Şellavcı Y. married Kaffar Y., who has 2 children like her, 6 months ago, and the couple, who have been living separately for a while, is in the divorce phase. On the other hand, it was stated that Hülya Şellavcı Y. had a suspension order for Kaffar Y., for whom she filed a criminal complaint 4 times on the grounds that she was threatened.

Police investigations into the incident are ongoing.
