Another suspect was arrested in connection with the explosion that killed 7 people in Aydın.
On 30 December, 7 people lost their lives and 5 people were injured in the explosion that took place during a tube change in a doner restaurant on Kıbrıs Street in the Altıntaş District of Nazilli district. As part of the investigation, restaurant owner LY, his wife FY and tube dealer AB were arrested yesterday. One of the workplace employees was released by the decision of the prosecutor’s office, and 2 of them were released on the condition of judicial control by the criminal judgeship of peace.
3 SUSPECTS, THEIR TREATMENTS COMPLETED, ARE DETENTION
The treatment of OS, MB, and HP, who were injured in the explosion and were detained, at Nazilli State Hospital was completed. Three suspects were detained as part of the investigation conducted by the Nazilli Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office. The suspects were referred to the courthouse after the procedure at the police station.
THE PERSON WHO HELPED THE TUBE CHANGE IS ALSO ARRESTED
OS and MB, who were stated to be workplace employees, were released after the statement at the prosecutor’s office. HP, who was found to have helped the tube change process on the day of the incident, was arrested by the criminal judgeship of peace. Thus, the number of suspects arrested in connection with the incident rose to 4.
It was learned that 1 more person, for whom a detention warrant was issued, continued to be treated at the hospital.
