The number of identity card holders with driver’s license increased to 5 million 208 thousand 331

The activities for 2022 were shared on the Twitter account of the Ministry of Interior, General Directorate of Population and Citizenship Affairs.

Accordingly, 2 million 553 thousand 327 people, who do not want to carry a driver’s license, had their driver’s licenses loaded on the Turkish Identity Card last year. Thus, the number of people using chip ID cards with driver’s licenses increased to 5 million 208 thousand 331.

Within the scope of the Population Digital Archive Project, 36 million 460 thousand 297 documents in 2022 and a total of 468 million 420 thousand 923 documents were scanned and transferred to electronic media.

On the other hand, the General Directorate of Population and Citizenship Affairs has renewed a total of 68 provincial and 775 district population directorates so far.

Within the scope of the “Concept Population Directorate” project, the renovation works of 344 population directorates were completed last year.
