With the new year, Croatia has been included in the Schengen area, which allows travel within the European Union (EU) without border control. Croatia will also use the euro currency instead of the kuna.
‘FREE TRANSITION’ CEREMONY
Croatia, which was approved to be included in the Schengen and euro area at the meeting of the Interior Council, consisting of the European Union (EU) Interior Ministers, held on 8 December last year, was officially included in the said regions with the new year.
